1. Innovative Approach to Studying English as a Second Language.

The problem with studying languages mainly lies in the fact that by the time we start learning a language we usually a vast experience with learning our mother tongue, unless we were bilingual as children. The way we see the world, the way we tend to communicate with each other, the way we process information in our mind is deeply connected to the we speak. We organize our reality through speech, this is why to learn a foreign language is to learn a different point of view to the world.

It is important to be aware of the differences that exist between Russian and English languages. We have different alphabet, different system of tenses, there are no articles in our languages as well as many other grammatical and lexical specifications that make it difficult for the Russian to learn English effectively.

We used Galina Svirina’s, Ph.D. in philology expertise in the Russian Language as well as in English to make comparisons between the languages and make the learning process most comfortable and effective. We use simple formulas, key words and explanatory schemes to  guide you through English grammar as well as conversational classes with native speakers to bring you closer to the experience of communicating with foreigners.

2.«Leadership in Learning» course for teachers and anyone who would like to contribute to the field of education, professional and personal development.

The course is based on two important theories: integral theory by Ken Wilber and the researches by Richard Elmore (Harvard Unviersity) on different learning environments.

The first theory suggests that we should take each learner’s experience through four quadrants: interior individual, exterior individual, interior collective, exterior collective.  We can adopt this view on learning by taking any experience of acquiring information through first individual interior examination, the process which can also relate to the philosophy of phenomenology. Then putting a student in front of a teacher to enhance his experience with the guidance of another person monitoring them through the process of comprehension. Then we can turn to interior collective where we try out our skills according to a very broad but very important concept of culture, and finally, exterior collective where the issues of cross-cultural communication and social behaviorism start to play a prominent role.

Along with the integral theory we also utilize the  key ideas from the researches by Richard Elmore, who has proposed four types of learning environments: hierarchical individual, hierarchical collective, distributed individual, and distributed collective. According to prof. Elmore, each individual has a personal style of learning, which will manifest itself in the ways we best chose what to learn, how and when to learn. According to this classification we can create more innovative learning environments that will complement regular schools and universities with online classes and societies.

3) Marketing through social media

is a course created by Galina Svirina based on her theoretical and practical knowledge on promotion in such social networks as Facebook, twitter, Instragram and others. Her own  ESL teaching online school «Victory English» has gathered 14 000 followers in only one year of presence on Instagram. The course contains both theoretical aspects on how to appeal to audience best through your content, and practical guidance on formats, setting of advertising campaigns, rules on creating the appealing content and targeting clients correctly. This course will boost your sales, help you develop personal brand or enhance the one of your company and take you business to the next level by the means of most innovative tools of marketing

4) Effective learning is a course that has been created by Galina Svirina and inspired by the idea of «life-long learning» that has become very popular over the last decade.

In the fast developing world where knowing facts is no longer an asset and having a degree will not guarantee employment we need to adopt a new approach to how we learn and process information. This course will teach you to read faster and extract the exact information you need, getting through the weed of non-essential background; memorize better by employing visualization and mediation to evoke your subconscious mind in the process of learning and help you store twice as much information as you could before; keep concentration for longer periods of time, listen and process information more effectively and productively by creating a system for any flow of words or numbers that are coming your way. Understand what type of learner you are (visual, auditorial, kinesthetik or tactcile) and what learning environment suits your better (hierarchical individual, hierarchical collective, distributed individual, and distributed collective).

The course also contains a theoretical part on our brain functioning, including the latest discoveries in neural science, language acquisition memory and comprehension in general.

5) Cross-cultural communication course is aimed at anyone who needs to communicate in business or any other setting with foreigners effectively.

Currently we offer a course on Russian — American cultural differences that would be useful to keep in mind in order to avoid miscommunication. The course consists of business and general etiquette, general cultural codes that you need to know in order to navigate through communication with Americans or Russians as a foreigner effectively, and certain linguistic characteristics that will allow you to tune your English as a Second Language to the most appropriate level of formality.

6) Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) technology is a cutting-edge innovation that allows to adjust a learning program in accordance with the specific needs of each student.

ANN is a self-taught program that can change itself based on trial and error learning algorithm. It is difficult to overestimate such technology in the process of Second Language acquisition. We already know that the way we learn a language is a very unique and individual experience that varies from student to student. Every student has different mistakes and difficulties that require additional attention from a teacher. And the main difficulty is to adjust a given teaching program to each individual learner. Learning with a textbook is a standardized way to approach it, this is why ANN is probably one of the revolutionary tools that will allow us to do away with standard books and create individual effective plans for every person who starts learning a language.
